In 1791, legislation against the émigrés was passed by the King stating that anyone caught emigrating would be punished with a death sentence, namely the guillotine. They regrouped and planned to attack France. There was need to export and internationalize the revolution by the revolutionaries. It got worse before it got better. The clearly determined resistance of the new revolution by a substantial amount of the largely illiterate peasant population could be witnessed in the massacres, initiated by Catholic peasants, of the citizens associated with the local administration. The tensions grew henceforth until it burst.
Lastly, the reign of terror strengthened Republicanism and the rise of Republican Government in France in 1792. It marked the first time that the lowest class in a country had overthrown the highest class. He wished to create a temporary dictatorship in order to save the Republic from falling completely. They were the true radicals here. There are many reasons for the downfall of the Girondins, public fear and opposing propaganda accusing of federalism, a heresy against the Republic Indivisible, paranoia of foreign invasion and traitors, Royalist revolt in the Vendee, add to that the hunger and poverty, abysmal affairs of the army and the Mob of Paris, which is, in its own merit, the worst of them all. They wanted to keep Paris as the national capital city and to have the temporary government of the time to take control of the economy as a whole.
European powers feared that France would dominate the European affairs. In the 1990s, a number of made headlines. These were normally recruited from the local area they were to operate in and were usually comprised of artisans from the cities. They were not contented with the spread of the ideas only in France, but to spread it to other countries. By the late summer, the people were rebelling against the new radical Jacobins government. Around half a million people may have been imprisoned across France, and 10,000 may have died in prison without trial. Should an individual be put to death because of an opinion about society? Executions, which had tailed off, now rose sharply again. The reign of terror was a period of violence in which occurred from 1793- 1794 after the strong onset of the French Revolution. All unofficial bodies were shut down, including provincial revolutionary armies. Robespierre was a large influence in the Reign of Terror and wanted the people who acted out to be punished for their actions. Terror could be applied to everyone, easily. Before the reign terror, there were some political parties that were formed such as The Jacobin under Robespierre, Cordllier under Danton and Girondin led by Murato. Many dispute that the Reign of Terror simply does not exist due to the fact that there was already violence occurring before this supposed period of time. He was an army general with whom it was impossible to leave in peace because he was too aggressive and a war monger. Boys aged nine to sixteen, grouped in battalions, armed with pikes, sometimes muskets, drilled to be soldiers. In time, hope will be replaced with fear as The Terror descends upon France, and the guillotine cries out for blood.
Individuals, abortion clinic bombers, or groups, like the Vietcong in the 1960s, can be understood as choosing terrorism when they are trying to right what they perceive to be a social, political or historical wrong. The group Shining Path carried out a years-long campaign of violence against Peru's government in the 1980s and early '90s in an attempt to create a Marxist state. Petty vindictiveness and injustice rose, fictional accusations and old grudges. It prompted European powers to unite and fight France to prevent the spread of such ideas because they do not favour any despot in Europe. The Reign of Terror impacted the people of France and forced them to conform to what was accepted by the Committee and the Jacobins, allowing for them to have no say or judgment in the events of the time. The motivations behind the revolts in the provinces were caused by a series of complications that had arisen in the ambition of upholding the Republic. And to give effect to this, the allied Prussia and Austrian troops matched into France in 1792.
Many believe that once Robespierre became leader of the Committee of Public Safety, he overpowered France and dominated the public, leading to the terror. The mentality of violence had built up gradually from the very beginning of the revolution, not particularly when the Reign of Terror supposedly begun in 1792; the strong violence and destruction progressively increasing and the death toll reaching to new heights in this time period. The analysis of personalities during the time and the context of political violence inherited from the Ancien Regime are also considerable influences in its self. The Committee of Public Safety grew concerned about the counter-productive effects, especially Robespierre who believed that faith was vital to order. The Ministry of war was in charge, which was directly under the Committee.
